Cave
A narrow space like a cave with dim lights creates a unique vibe. Bamboo screens, wooden beams, and plants near the ceiling soften the air in the white stone cave. Small (about 12 seats), but cozy and comfortable.
The young bar owner, Tokuo, says he wants to offer something like a hiding place to relax with friends. Located a bit away from the center of Matsumoto, this cave must be really a good hiding place.
The cave menus are mostly based on the Asian style and taste GOOD. Though there aren’t many choices on the menu, everything we ordered on that night such as Okinawan food using nigauri, Taco Rice, Gapao Rice, and Fried Chicken with Original Spicy Sauce was yummy. :-) Thai Red Curry is the one I want to try next time, as it smelled/looked so good while the owner was cooking it. (He's such a neat & diligent worker; he cooks up everything expertly and is doing something (working) on preparation all the time!)
The price range is from 300 to 900 yen and drinks are from 500 yen. Very reasonable. You can have a small party in the cave (8 people at most) from 2,000 yen with 5 dishes. You can also make it at 4,000 yen with all you can drink for 2 hours + 7 dishes.
